| ”A
piece of paper can fly wherever the wind blows,
but if you attach it to a cross it flies safely
as a Kite”
This is the vision and the reason
for why the band is called Kite. A kite needs
a cross in the middle to stabilize it and to make
it fly in the chosen direction. In the same way
the band Kite want to have the Cross in the centre
of their music and their concerts.
Kite plays modern guitarbased
rock with personal lyrics influenced by their
christian faith. Since the band started in 1998
they have made almost 20 concerts per year in
Sweden, Germany and Estonia.Kite has been known
as a band with a straight and honest message for
their audience combined witha tight and intensive
liveshow.
In june 2002 Kite released their
first album named ”Soil”. The CD was
very well received and received good reviews in
the swedish press. In february 2007 Kite released
their second album named ”Open”. This
will ensure even better concerts.
With their new album Kite wants
to encourage christian youths to live a more ”open”
life. The theme for the CD is described in the
title. Kite want the christian people to reach
for the world with ”open” arms and
continue the the mission that Jesus has given
us when he told us to make new disciples. But
the title also describes that God is standing
and waiting with ”open” arms for everyone
who wants to receive his grace.
