2003-10-14 [Kvänum]
Kvänum is a village in Vara county. It's placed 20 km east from Vara. In the village 1222 persons live, among them lives Hilda Isaksson, Frida Udén and Nina. Kvänum , located on the west side of the road E20 has a lot of industries, i.e. PM-Luft (Air-conditioners), Åkerstedts Verkstads AB (Agricultural machines) and Kvänum Kök AB (Manufacturing Kitchen-furniture).
The centre of Kvänum is unique since no houses has been removed since the centre was built up around the railroad.
Kvänum have had a lot of celebrities visiting them through the years. I.e. Knut Henrik Littorin 1911 and the rock-group Kite 2003. Kite came to the village a tuesday afternoon to hold a concert at the local church's café. The concert was announced for youths and older but the audience was mainly youths. Even though Kite plays a totally different music compared to the one that Knut-Henrik Littorin listened to in 1911 Kite's music seemed to be appreciated.
After the concert was the members of the group chased by a group of autograph-hunters. The drummer was the one that quickly was surrounded by the young ladys from the area. The crew had som problems to rig down the sound-equipment since the stage was filled with the drummers new admirors.
The band drove home and everything was as usual in Kvänum again.
