Q: Why is your band called
Kite?
A: A classical Kite has a cross in the middle, (see
our logotype) , without th cross it's just a piece of
paper blowing wherever the wind blows it without any
control at all. But when it's attached to a cross it
flies stabile. We in the band want the cross (Jesus)
in the centre of our music.
You can also se a vision of the trinity. The cross is
the Kite is Jesus, in the cross there's a string leading
to the master on the ground which may symbolise God.
Still the kite can fly wherever the the wind blows but
held by strong hands from the master on the ground.
The wind leading the kite can symbolise the holy spirit.

Q: What kind of music
do you play?
A: The eternal question... The best way to experience
our music is of course to listen to the CD. But we play
guitarbased heavy rock. Not Heavy metal but heavy rock...

Q: How do you write
your songs?
A: Depends from time to time. On Soil (our first
CD) most of the songs has started from an idea from
one bandmember. We rehearsed the songs all together
and everyone in the bands put their touch to the song
and the arrangement. The songs for our forthcoming album
has been written in the rehearsal-room or else some
of us has made the basics for a song which later has
been arranged together with the rest of the band. All
lyrics are written by Josef.

Q: How did you
get a record-contract?
A: The "classic way", we sent out our
Demo to several record-companies, Dot-music liked it
and wanted to hear more. This was on the autumn of 1999.
We started to record "Soil" in spring 2001
and it was released in june 2002.

Q: When do
you come to play at our city/festival?
A: We in Kite would like to have as much concerts
as possible and we have contacts with some arrangers
and so has our management-company. But still the best
way to make us come to your hometown or favourite festival
is to tell the people that arranges these things that
you want to hear Kite.

Q: What kind of
sound-equipment do you need?
A: We prefer to travel with our own tecnician, usually
Davids Ljudteknik where we can offer a combination-price.
We can also play with sound equipment provided by the
arranger accodring to the equiment-list that Dot-Music
provides together with the booking-contract. It's very
important that the sound-equipment is equal to the specifications
provided in the contract. Contact Dot-Music for more
information about this. Please note that for most concerts
in other countries than Sweden the sound-equipment usually
should be provided by the local arranger.
